Tungamah has a railway freight station with a silo on the Oaklands railway line, Victoria. A daily passenger bus service runs between Benalla Railway Station and Mulwala.


Tungamah Primary School caters for the area’s younger children.  Secondary school aged children travel to high schools in Yarrawonga, Benalla or Cobram via bus service.

The Tungamah Football Club, nicknamed the Bears, is an Australian Rules Football club playing in the Picola & District Football League.
